LMG successfully collaborated with MMC Mechanical as the design-assist plumbing contractor on the first two phases of the new Cerner Innovation Campus project. The entire 290-acre site has a $4.45 billion budget and a 10 year development plan that includes 4.7 million square feet of space in 16 buildings, slated to be constructed in 16 phases. When complete, the campus will accommodate approximately 16,000 Cerner employees. Campus plans include two (2) data centers, an employee child care, an employee health clinic and approximately 370,000 SF of retail space for restaurants, stores and a hotel.
Phases 1 & 2 include the first two office towers. Tower 1, called the South Tower, is a 450,000 SF, 12-story Class A office structure which will include the central utility plant, a 90,000 SF food service area, dining rooms and training labs in addition to employee offices. Tower 2, the North Tower, is a 9-story Class A office structure that will include an employee pharmacy, employee gym and testing labs for client feedback as well as employee offices.
