LMG Construction Founder and President Lisa Garney was a featured speaker at the 2017 National Department of Energy Small Business Forum and Expo. The conference, called “USDE 17” is the Department of Energy’s annual meeting that explores opportunities and challenges for small businesses.
Along with other top women small business executives, LMG’s Lisa Garney spoke at USDE 17 about the benefits of being WOSB certified.
Gained from LMG’s successful history as a top rated military construction contractor, Garney provided valuable insight on the WOSB Federal Contracting Program, overviews of the requirements, and more importantly how to market your business to create this unique set aside. The panel of top women business owners discussed their best practices as a federal contractors, their unique challenges, and the opportunities they have created across the board leveraging their WOSB status.
